In early December 2023, Amazon customers reported "fake addresses" were added to their accounts. This caused many rumors that started trending on social media and were also reported on many mainstream news networks that hackers added the addresses and your packages would be sent to the added addresses. Great news just in time for the holidays.
These rumors were squashed. All the addresses added were in fact Amazon lockers that were in close proximity to your location. There was/is no room for concern at the added addresses. If you want to double check for peace of mind:
-Open a search engine
-Input the added addresses that appear attached in your Amazon account
-Ensure there is a locker service at the location
It was a great catch by the customers who first noticed and it is even better that there is no thing for you to worry about.
